Quebec Residents:
The Quebec Government will set the tuition rate indexation factor for 2015-16 in late December 2014. It is expected that annual tuition fees may be approximately $2,318.56 (based on a course load of 30 credits and a 2% rate increase) for students who have proven that they qualify for the Quebec rate of tuition.
Students from the rest of Canada:
The Quebec Government regulates the tuition rates for students from outside of Quebec who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The fees are a combination of the base Quebec tuition rate and an out-of-province supplement. The out-of-province supplement increases for 2015-16 are expected to be approximately 8.9%. This will result in an overall total tuition increase of 6.6%.
Students in this category who are either PhD candidates, in Post-Graduate Medical Education, are not subject to the out-of-province supplements, but will be subject to increases at the same rate as Quebec students.
International Undergraduate Students:
Since 2012-13,international undergraduate students newly admitted and enrolled in degree programs in Engineering* (Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Bioresource Engineering), Bachelor of Software Engineering), Management* (Bachelor of Commerce), Science* (Bachelor of Science), and Law* (BCL/LLB, MBA/LLB) are guaranteed a tuition rate for the duration of their program as long as there is no break in enrolment or transfer of degree program. Newly admitted Visiting or Special Students in these disciplines are charged the same tuition rates as students in degree programs, but are not guaranteed tuition rates and are subject to tuition increases in subsequent years. They expect tuition increases in these disciplines to be approximately 5%.
