Designed to help cover costs associated with student disabilities, the provincial Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD) and the Canada Student Grant for Services and Equipment for Persons with Permanent Disabilities (CSG-PDSE) assist with the costs of disability-related services or equipment, such as tutors, note-takers, interpreters, braillers or technical aids required to participate in postsecondary studies.
Eligibility :
- Full-time and part-time students who: • apply and qualify for OSAP (at least $1 of calculated provincial need), • self-identify as having either a permanent or temporary disability (For the CSG-PDSE, the disability must be considered permanent.) • have disability-related educational costs for services or equipment that are not covered by another agency or service, and • require these services/equipment to participate in postsecondary studies.
Deadline to Apply:
60 days before the end of your OSAP-defined study period. You can determine the dates of your OSAP-defined study period by checking your OSAP account on the OSAP website at http://www.ontario.ca/osap.
