UBC Vantage College Awards are currently available for for students from around the world to study undergraduate degree at the University of British Colombia, Canada. The purpose of this program is to financially support academically qualified students who show an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community, but who would not otherwise be able to attend without significant financial assistance.
This program offers entering students a variety of single year and renewable.These scholarships are differentiated in three types; Excellence Awards, Excellence Award and Outstanding Student award.
1) UBC Vantage College Entrance Award:
Awards ranging in value up to the full cost of the student’s International Program tuition are offered to students beginning their undergraduate studies at UBC in the Vantage One Program at UBC Vantage College.
Value: Awards are ranging in value up to the full cost of the student’s International Program tuition.
Criteria: on the basis of academic merit, financial need
2) UBC Vantage College Excellence Awards:
Awards ranging in value up to the full cost of the student’s academic program and living costs are offered to students beginning their undergraduate studies at UBC in the UBC Vantage One Program. The awards will be renewed for up to three additional years or to degree completion, whichever is less, provided the recipient remains in the top quartile of the year of his/her program and maintains their status as an international student in Canada.
Value: Awards are ranging in value up to the full cost of the student’s academic program and living costs
Criteria: financial need
3) UBC Vantage College Outstanding Student Award:
Up to sixty one-time awards up to $6,000 to outstanding UBC Vantage College students enrolled in the Vantage One Program.
Criteria:on the basis of academic excellence, financial need
Eligibility:
- Applicants are a strong academic student
- Applicants demonstrate financial need
- Applicants are entering directly from secondary school
- Applicants are nominated by a member of the school or community
- Applicants are pursuing studies in the Vantage one program at UBC Vantage College
