KRG Children’s Charitable Foundation and the MS Society are proud to announce a transformational new scholarship program for youth affected by multiple sclerosis. This innovative program is available solely due to the generous financial support of the KRG Children’s Charitable Foundation and the Wise Group of Companies, our founding sponsors.
The Follow the Leader Scholarship Program will award four exceptional GTA-based youth with the financial support they need to overcome the financial obstacles that come with a personal or familial diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, enabling them to attain the education they need to reach their full potential and become the next generation of MS leaders.
The recipients must be enrolled in a science, technology, engineering or math undergraduate program and will receive up to $25,000/year for four years to apply to tuition and living expenses.
Eligibility:
- are Canadian citizens
- live and attend high school in the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, Durham, Halton, Peel, York Regions);
- have at least an 85% (or equivalent) average over the last 3 terms of available marks;
- be planning on enrolling in full-time a Canadian, American or Foreign university, specifically in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) program;
- live in a family in which an immediate member (self, sibling or parent/guardian) is directly affected by MS or an allied disease (neuromyelitis optica (NMO), transverse myelitis (TM), and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM)). Recipients will be required to submit proof of diagnosis.
