The Cardiorespiratory Division (CRD) has established a scholarship to support graduate students pursuing research which advances knowledge and practice in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. The scholarship is offered to a physiotherapist enrolled in a post-entry level Master’s or PhD program, in a Canadian University, who is conducting research related to cardiorespiratory clinical practice as part of the academic requirements for completion of their program. One scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded in 2014.
Eligibility:
- Enrolled in a post-entry level MSc or PhD program in a Canadian University
- Field of research (study) related to cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
- CRD member in good standing
- Contribute a summary of the work to the Gas Exchange (CRD newsletter) upon completion of the research study
- Consider presenting research at the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Congress
- Credit the CRD (& PFC) with the support of any publications or presentations of the work
- Must include a written statement of the relevance (250 words) on why their project is relevant to cardiorespiratory practice
